I am thrilled to share the exciting news that Amy Wilson has joined our product strategy team.
As senior director, human capital management strategy, Amy will work closely with our product management and development teams to craft experiences that allow C-suite executives and business leaders to gain insight and better optimize work, people, and costs.
This is a core mission of our product strategy, so ensuring we’d get the right person to lead it, and who shared this vision, was paramount. It also had to be someone we could trust completely, who aligns to our corporate values, and who would ideally complement my own working style and personality, since we would be working so closely together. It was quite a tall order.
Yet it turns out we didn’t have to look far. It was all very natural, really. Amy and I have always shared our passion and hopes for the ever-evolving human capital management space with enough debate to make for lively and stimulating conversation. And while we’ve “worked” together for years, it’s never been at the same company. For several years, I was an industry analyst covering her former employer’s product. We were competitors for a short while when I joined Workday in 2009. Then, earlier this year, Amy joined the esteemed Constellation Research Group as VP and principal analyst covering human capital management (including Workday).
As an analyst, Amy really dug into the Workday solution, asked thoughtful questions, and always offered valuable feedback. Our team enjoyed engaging with Amy during our briefings and relished her pointed blogs and research reports.
Fortunately, Ray Wang, principal analyst and CEO of Constellation Research, was kind enough to provide an excellent recommendation for Amy and enabled her smooth transition to join Workday. In an email, Ray wrote:
