How the Workday User Experience is Different—See it in Action

When vendors begin to sound the same and any one of them can claim a business process is simple, intuitive, or seamless, companies need to ask a few fundamental questions to cut through the marketing talk and see differentiation in action: “Can you show it? How elegant is the experience? And how much of our own time and resources are required to achieve it?” We hope Product Spotlights start to answer these questions. So take a look at a few favorites across HR and finance, and stay tuned as we’ll share more throughout the year!

A couple years ago, our CTO Stan Swete detailed what we call different by design. It’s the story of the architectural decisions we made early on that enable Workday customers to get more from our system than they could from traditional enterprise software systems—and ultimately deliver more value to their organizations. These are the moments when an employee or manager can move from A to B to C in a business process without having to sign into another application, pull up spreadsheets, or dig through disjointed email chains. It’s connecting insights to action in one system, with one experience.

This growing list of moments continues to influence the buying decisions and loyalty of our customers, and we thought it was important to share them with everyone through a new, ongoing series of short videos called Product Spotlights.

Why now? Because when vendors begin to sound the same and any one of them can claim a business process is simple, intuitive, or seamless, companies need to ask a few fundamental questions to cut through the marketing talk and see differentiation in action: “Can you show it? How elegant is the experience? And how much of our own time and resources are required to achieve it?”

We hope Product Spotlights start to answer these questions. So take a look at a few favorites across HR and finance below, and stay tuned as we’ll share more throughout the year!
