It’s been just over three weeks since we completed our acquisition of Adaptive Insights and while it’s still early days, I couldn’t be more excited about our future. In addition to our cultures aligning, we share a common vision for being a leader in the business planning software space, which is why I’m thrilled to share the next step in our strategy to jointly enable customers to better plan, execute, and analyze across the enterprise, all in one system.
To ensure we are offering customers the best solution to accelerate their finance, workforce, and business transformations, we’ve determined that the Adaptive Insights Business Planning Cloud will become the single planning solution moving forward for our customers. With this strategy in place, we will fast-track our planning roadmap by 2+ years in order to deliver an even more robust solution that meets the needs of customers as they face increasingly complex planning use cases in today’s dynamic business environment. With Adaptive Insights Business Planning Cloud, customers can make smarter, faster decisions with a product designed to power the entire planning process including modeling, monitoring, reporting, and analyzing.

We will continue to support Workday Planning but will not deliver new functionality beyond Workday 31, which will be released on September 8. This means Workday customers have the option to remain on Workday Planning or switch to Adaptive Insights Business Planning Cloud. We will work closely on migration plans with those customers that choose to switch to Adaptive Insights.
Yes, we plan to unify Adaptive Insights Business Planning Cloud with Workday’s leading suite of applications for finance and HR, so that the Power of One stays intact, giving all customers one source for data, one security model, one user experience, and one Workday community.
Adaptive Insights customers will continue to have the same great experience they have today—including a source system-agnostic, open product—with Adaptive Insights Business Planning Cloud.
Additionally, Adaptive Insights customers will benefit from Workday’s global presence and support as well as a larger development organization that will help accelerate Adaptive Insights’ innovation pipeline for small, medium, and large enterprise customers.
