Industries at Workday Rising: Collaboration and Connection

This year, we’ve significantly expanded the number of industry-specific sessions we’ll have at Workday Rising. Here’s a sample of some of the stories our customers will share about successes in their industries.

At Workday Rising in Orlando and Milan this fall, we’re opening more doors than ever for customers to learn from peers and experts in their industry. With so much disruption happening across the globe, the knowledge our conference attendees gain from each other is incredibly valuable.

We work hard to focus on industry needs as we develop our products, and we do the same when planning Workday Rising. This year, we’ve significantly expanded the number of industry-specific sessions we’ll have at Workday Rising. We’ll also have an “Innovate for Your Industry” zone in the Workday Experience and Expo, where you can network with peers, get questions answered, see demos, and learn from other customers. And then, head over to one of our Learning Theaters to hear more about how Workday addresses challenges in your industry.

Here’s a small sample of some of the stories customers will share about successes in their industries. For a full list, visit the Workday Rising session catalog for Workday Rising in Orlando and Milan, where you can sort content by industries.

Financial Services

Workday is partnering with industry-leading financial services companies to help them adapt, keep up with regulations, and minimize risk. One such story is Nasdaq—hear how the organization moved from multiple finance and HR systems to one global system for finance and HR. Federal Home Loan Bank of Boston and Quicken Loans will also share stories of finance transformation and the positive effects of combining multiple systems into one unified system with Workday.

Government

Creativity and government may not seem like the most natural combination, but it’s possible! Recruiting leaders from the State of Oregon will present how they got creative with Workday Recruiting to find top-shelf applicants while meeting difficult government requirements. And you’ll have the opportunity to ask Workday product experts about using Workday Financial Management for government and learn about the investments we’re making for the industry.

Healthcare

It’s more challenging than ever to provide top-notch care while navigating a fast-changing industry. Christiana Care Health System will share how it uses Workday to become more agile and drive operational excellence through innovation. And hear from OhioHealth about the transformational journey it took with Workday Human Capital Management and Workday Payroll.

Higher Education

Finance leaders from Arizona State University, Brock University, and Deakin University will share insights about deploying Workday Financial Management at their institutions. And California College of the Arts will present how it uses Workday Student to build meaningful connections with their students from orientation to graduation.

Professional Services

It’s much easier to keep up with the ever-evolving needs of customers when projects, financials, and people are all managed with a single system. Aurecon will tell how deploying the full Workday platform provides a strategic advantage. Jeanne Ulrich from Service Performance Insight (SPI Research) will partner with Workday customer Alight for a session around the KPIs that professional services firms should be using to make sure they’re measuring up against their competition.

Retail and Hospitality

These two industries serve customers with high expectations for convenience, customization, and experience, and keeping up is a full-time job. Workday customers Denny’s, Reeds Jewelers, and Sprouts Farmers Market will tell how a single technology platform for finance and HCM helps them keep up with constant change and disruption in retail and hospitality. And hear from Life Time how it gained efficiencies, consolidated multiple systems, and trimmed away manual processes using Workday Financial Management and Workday Human Capital Management.

Technology and Media

The line between tech and media companies grows more blurry by the day, and each influences the other. Warner Bros. will share how it’s driving digital transformation with Workday, and Slack will discuss how it innovates on the Workday technology platform with a chatbot and smart assistant.

This is just a taste of the opportunities to learn from industry peers and experts at Workday Rising—there’s much more planned. Be sure to check out the Session Catalog for more, and we look forward to seeing you at Workday Rising!
