With 42% of the U.S. labor force now working full time from home, it’s an ideal time to explore the intersection of people and technology. Businesses everywhere rely on both now more than ever.
That’s why here at Workday, we’re planning to make the most of HR Tech 2020. This virtual conference, taking place Oct. 27-30, will include 55 hours of keynotes, live Q&A sessions with speakers, AI-powered peer networking, virtual booths, interactive solution demos—even fun swag and a relaxation lounge featuring on-demand yoga sessions. As a Diamond Sponsor of the event, we feel this will be as close to an in-person conference experience as you can get these days, and are delighted to contribute to it on many levels.
Here’s how Workday will participate at HR Tech 2020 this year.
After the past eight months, many HR leaders are eager to look forward. Yet the business imperatives we all faced at the end of 2019 are not only still with us—they’ve been amplified by the disruption and uncertainty of our times. Digital acceleration, inclusion, enabling employees, accelerating agility, and the skills gap are all even more crucial since the start of the year.
“IDEAS for a Changing World: How Skills Unlock the Future,” at 2 p.m. EDT Wednesday, Oct. 28, is a Mega Session roundtable that taps the experience of pioneering practitioners and thought leaders to explore how organizations can best manage inclusion, digitalization, experiences, agility, and skills (IDEAS). Dr. John Boudreau, senior research scientist and professor emeritus at University of Southern California’s Marshall School of Business, and Karen Caveney, chief HR technologist at Dell Technologies, will join Workday’s people and performance evangelist Greg Pryor to explore ways HR can help their organizations accelerate success. In this “think tank” style discussion, these HR leaders will examine how successful organizations are applying the democratization of skills and advanced technology to achieve greater organizational agility, accelerate skill growth, and create opportunities for all.
