I’m excited to share that Workday has been named a Leader in the 2024 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Cloud HCM Suites for 1,000+ Employee Enterprises for the ninth consecutive year! To us, this recognition underscores our commitment to not just help our customers keep up, but to give our best with cutting edge HR technology.
Here’s a look at some of our latest innovations that have helped us in this recognition, and why we believe they’re driving real change for our customers.
With the Workday Human Capital Management (HCM) suite, organisations can evolve how they manage and empower their people in smarter ways. We recently announced Workday Illuminate™, the next generation of Workday AI that’s built to accelerate manual tasks, assist every employee, and ultimately transform entire business processes. Powered by Illuminate, our new AI agents completely rethink areas such as recruiting, expenses, and succession planning, driving measurable results for your business.
We also recently announced a revamped AI-powered user experience that includes a new Workday Assistant to help employees in their flow of work. It’s like having extra support available in real time, making the day-to-day smoother and helping employees prioritise critical work.
These AI-driven innovations are all about delivering real impact. And based on what we hear from our customers, we’re doing exactly that. According to the chief human resources officer at Sumitomo Drive Technologies EMEIA, the European operations of the Japan-based heavy machinery manufacturer, “Only Workday offered us the technology capable of the transformational change and operational reform we needed.”
To thrive in today’s fast-changing environment, organisations need to stay flexible—and Workday can help. Our HCM solutions such as Workday VNDLY make it easy to source and manage all workers—full-time, part-time, and contingent workers—all in one place. This gives companies the agility they need for their workforce to quickly adapt and stay resilient.
Korean Air Lines is one of those companies using Workday to modernise its business. As the executive vice president and chief marketing officer at Korean Air says, “We’re looking forward to working with Workday to help transition a 55-year-old company into the next generation of Korean Air.”
Our commitment to evolving with customer needs drives innovation across the board, from the solutions we build to the partnerships we offer. For example, our recently announced Workday Payroll provided by Strada makes payroll simpler by combining HR and payroll in one place, using AI to help businesses make smarter decisions and stay compliant.

And with Workday Global Payroll Connect, we’ve created a unified global payroll solution that connects you with providers for a complete and seamless global payroll experience. Whether employees are paid through Workday or a partner, all your data is in one place, and updates between systems are effortless.
A unified experience is something our customers value. As the head of people digital solutions at Swedish aerospace and defense company Saab AB says, “The biggest gain with Workday is having everything in the same human capital management suite, enabling us to keep the end-to-end experience in one place.”
Our platform is the backbone of everything we build. By constantly investing in it, we’re able to create new features and applications that work seamlessly together to meet a wide range of customer needs. And when your business has unique challenges, our platform gives you the flexibility to use Workday Extend to build custom solutions that fit your exact needs.
We’re always innovating to make sure HR teams have the tools they need to thrive, unlock their team’s potential, and make a real impact on the business. Together with our customers and partners, we’re not just keeping up—we’re keeping things moving forever forward.
