We’ve been chosen by Ethisphere as one of the World’s Most Ethical Companies — reflecting our commitment to integrity, and how we care for our employees and communities.
We’re delighted to be named one of the World’s Most Ethical Companies by Ethisphere, a global leader in defining and advancing the standards of ethical business practices. Out of 135 honorees, Workday is one of four companies in the software and services industry to receive this distinction, and we believe it reflects our commitment to our values.
The evaluation focused on our culture, environmental and social practices, ethics and compliance activities, governance, diversity, and initiatives to support a strong value chain. It also gauged how we're adapting and responding to the global pandemic, and examined our equity, inclusion, and social justice programs.
At Workday, our six core values—employees, customer service, innovation, integrity, fun, and profitability—aren’t just words on a page. They’re deeply held beliefs that we put into action every day, and are reflected in our Code of Conduct. Our Code outlines our core values and expectations for how to act when conducting business on our behalf.
At Workday, we:
Speak up and raise a hand for help, following the Code and raising a concern about any potential violations.
Foster a safe and inclusive workplace where everyone feels valued.
Protect privacy, confidentiality, and company property.
Act with integrity and in an honest and ethical manner.
Compete fairly and honestly, especially with respect to intellectual property.
Conduct business in accordance with our core values and in compliance with all laws and regulations.
Care about our communities and respect fundamental human rights in all of our interactions.
Our core value of integrity is the driving force behind our integrity team, which is dedicated to providing all Workmates with the knowledge and tools needed to act with integrity in all business situations.
At Workday, our six core values—employees, customer service, innovation, integrity, fun, and profitability—aren’t just words on a page.
Our commitment to integrity comes from the highest level of leadership at Workday, and it sets the tone for the rest of the organization. Our leadership and senior management teams regularly communicate with our employees regarding ethical business practices and related expectations. To reinforce these expectations, the integrity team’s awareness initiatives include required Code of Conduct and policies training for new hires and all employees annually; an Integrity Week of activities that engage the global workforce; regular all-employee communications; and role-specific communications. We weave expectations of ethical behavior through all levels of our company—from interviewing for honesty and integrity, to championing employees who do the right thing, to establishing global ethics ambassadors from our regional offices.
We also expect our business partners to uphold the same commitment to ethical behavior as we do. Through our Supplier Code of Conduct, Workday suppliers are required to demonstrate that they provide safe working conditions, treat workers with dignity and respect, and act ethically and legally in their use of labor.
As the business environment constantly changes, and as Workday grows, we’re committed to having a dynamic approach to address ethics and compliance in our ecosystem. We’re proud the World’s Most Ethical Companies award reflects our commitment to integrity, and we hope to continue earning this title year after year.
