John Kravitz
John Kravitz serves as vice president, healthcare at Workday, where he leads our go to market strategy for the healthcare industry.
John, who joined Workday in 2022, has more than 25 years of experience in the healthcare industry. He previously served as senior vice president and CIO at Geisinger Health System, responsible for IT, digital, and cloud migration strategies, governance and operations, and business growth through merger and acquisitions and joint ventures. John has also served in CIO roles at Good Shepherd and Allied Systems.
John is board chair of the College of Health Information Management Executives (CHIME) and is a Health Information Management System Society (HIMSS) member. He previously served on boards for Central Pennsylvania’s HIMSS chapter and KINBER, an organization that advances digital equity and inclusion in Pennsylvania. He’s been an active voice for the opioid crisis and testified to the House Energy and Commerce Committee on behalf of Geisinger Health System’s work in reducing the impact of Opioid prescriptions by more than 66%. Other healthcare and technology initiatives he’s been involved in include technology interoperability, telemedicine services, and 5G broadband in rural communities.
John holds a bachelor’s degree in computer information systems/business administration and a master’s degree in healthcare administration from King’s College in Ontario, Canada.
